There were African adventures as well as Alaskan tours (during the summer obviously), but these tours are no longer offered. If you are interested in African adventures in a Contiki style setting, I was sent the following link which solely focuses on African tours for the 18-35 crowd. I have not personally taken any of their tours, but they do look interesting. They have safari tours from 10 days (£ 273) to as long as 77 days (£ 1377). Some optional activies are flying in an ultralight, parachuting, class 5 white water rapids, as well as all the animals. Accomodations will be a little rougher than in Europe I imagine, but cheaper.
